Good morning my friends
the week is almost over ... TGIF

Anything planned for the weekend? My mom and her bf are coming to visit me. That made me clean up freneticly last weekend and yesterday. But now the apt is tidy, the food is bought. Except some incredients I need to buy today during lunch break.

There is a Camelia exhibition in a garden here in Frankfurt, also a butterfly show. So we will go there tomorrow, as the rest of the weekend, no plans yet what to do. We will see.

13. I didn't even know there was a storm
Edited on Fri Jan-12-07 04:04 AM by emmajane67
until i got home and my flatmate was in the lounge in his man knickers cos he got soaked on the way home and then there were awful pictures of damage and the like, I myself lived through it in blissful ignorance.

Not enjoying being back in London, back at work Grrrr. Still jet lagged and my personal life has hit the world of crazy big time. Not to mention I'm horribly home sick. Supposed to be looking for new flatmates and a new job but can't muster the motivation. But I shan't harp on.

Hope you have alovely weekend with your mum in your super tidy apartment.

15. It was really windy here in Frankfurt
but we didn't feel the full force. Fortunately.

Sorry to hear that you still feel homesick and jet lagged. Sounds like you are a bit depressed. I hope you find the energy soon to get your life moving again. If you want a break and a trip to Germany let me know.

20. You think they would be upset with your Rambo-like hunting outfit...
and how you laughed mercilessly as you slashed the future dinner apart? Or the part of how you smeared the blood in warlike patterns on your face as you danced around a roaring fire chanting ancient incantations?

23. No, just tired
I had to get up early today to get down the car dealer with my insurance certificate. They needed that so they could buy the tax disc for the new car.

Also my boiler appeared to be kaput yesterday evening. This morning it worked. I do not understand it.

27. Oh yes
Fortunately I haven't had problems with my boiler yet. But a company comes by every year to check it. Good thing I live at rent, I don't have to pay for it.
Do you get someone to look at it today or do you hope it works over the weekend?

He wouldn't even arrange a day to get someone round. He'll give me a ring next week, he said. He sounded like he couldn't care less.

It must be great to have so much business that you don't even have give a shit about a potential customer.

I need to find me a Polish immigrant plumber. I bet they'll come round. ;)

I should retrain as a plumber. These people sound like they need some competition. :D
