If you're recording, it has to be well lit. Then again, video production equipment aside, I don't really care.

Unless it's in a car -- then it has to be dark, and the windows must be steamed.

And in the bedroom, off or dimmed is probably better. Unless it's the guest bedroom, in which case on.

But the kitchen or the couch? On, definitely.

Candles for the bathtub, lights in the shower.

The closet is better dark.

In the front entryway it doesn't really matter, but the lights will probably be on just because it's usually well lit.

The hot tub is best with ambient light. The community swimming pool is best with the interior pool light on and nothing else, unless you're just NEAR the pool, in which case go with ambient/residual lighting.

The atrium is already lit with soft yellow lights, but the porch needs to be dark. The neighbors can watch if they want to, but if they want a good view they'd better buy tickets.

I need a girlfriend.
