She's going to be Eve in something called "The Serpent." She is a very good actress but has relatively little interest in bothering with it. In this case, "Adam" is supposed to be a popular/hot guy, so she tried out, lol.

Have a great night everybody. I'm outta here! :hi:

2. Me too, lizziegrace.
She made me promise not to tell her father about the motivation, though. I think it's a secret we can share :)

7. Hi graywarrior.
Did you ever do any acting? You strike me as somebody who'd be good at it. :P

Both my older kids are very comfortable on stage, for some reason. You, a drama queen?

11. I'm back...went for a run.
Yeah, my mother was an actress and singer, and my brother is a musician. My mother's father was a band leader in the 40's with a flair for the dramatic. I really should be on the stage, but I can't stand being out in public for too long. Ha. I'm a wierdo.

The fact that you run is proof that you are a weirdo. A fit, ultra-cool weirdo but still... weirdo :P

I'd probably start to cry if you jumped in to save her. Everything makes me cry, even my breakfast cereal, when I'm not telling it to fuck off.

22. I love watching them even if my kid isn't in the cast.
They all try so hard and yet there is inevitably one or two small disasters. In this case, the disaster will be Kira's costume, which I will have to make. She'll be the first Eve to wear a burka.

31. My SO's friend used to choreograph for the HS near us
I dragged him to see one of the shows, because a kid from my church was in it. He grumbled and complained until 45 16-18 year old girls came out to tapdance the opening number to "42 Street", wearing little middie blouses and tap pants (very modest given what teenagers wear today, but still)

"Hmm" he said "maybe this won't be so bad...." I slugged him.

:spray:

Lol! I actually go with a neighbor to her kids' dance recital, not so much to see her children specifically but just to see the show. There are adults in it too. Nothing is more amusing than watching heavy, middle-aged people in their very first tapdance recital.
