I like to think of myself as the Dr.Cox character, but I'm probably more like the lawyer Ted.

1. I love 'Scrubs' though I'm a tad underwhelmed with the new season.
Maybe the musical this week will pick me up. :-)

One of my favorite bits was when Elliott started the "I Hate Cox" internets site and was dismayed that only 3 interns and 17,000 lesbians signed up.

2. They have jokes like that in every episode that just destroy me
I love Dr.Cox's rants, they're the best.

8. Dr Cox once said "I won't make you swear on the Bible....
'cause I know contact with anything holy makes your skin sizzle".

Yep, his rants are great!

My favorites are

Dr. Cox

Some of the guest stars that show up are pretty good too.

10. I don't hate Scrubs as much as I hate it's awful, unfunny douchebag of a star
I really hate him more for Garden State. Although I do wish Scrubs had been cancelled in its first season. I have a hard time believing a show that shares a stylistic and comedic format with Lizzie Maguire is worth watching to anyone but the most bored people.

17. I couldn't agree with you less. And I never understand why people have
to go the extra mile when they don't like something (like a tv show, movie, musician) and insult anyone who does like it. It's one thing to question the sanity/intelligence of someone who loves Rush Limbaugh but why bash those that like a comedy you don't like?

You're entitled to your opinion of course. I happen to love Scrubs (loved Garden State too), and I am far from bored. In fact, I barely have time to turn on the tv these days, but I'm glad when I have a chance to catch this show.

11. LOVE it.
Hell, I might just have to go grab a DVD now and watch it. ;)

I don't like this season much either...it's just not that funny. And I really don't care about JD and his baby mama. And Carla with the postpartum depression? NOT. FUNNY.

Jordan and Dr. Cox are still entertaining though!

12. Jordan and Dr. Cox are ALWAYS entertaining
I haven't watched the latest season, did JD have a kid? Who's the mama played by? Does Dr. Cox still call him by girls names?

14. JD...
knocked up another doctor, played by Elizabeth Banks. It was a ridiculous one-night stand.

And yes, Dr. Cox still calls him girl names. ;)

13. I've started "Cox-ing" co-workers who annoy me.
Oddly enough, I only started watching re-runs of it just this season and I gotta say... it really brings back the feel of the older, B&W screwball comedies of the 30's & 40's. Great one-liners, non-apologetic politically incorrect humor, and non-topical humour. Good, good stuff Maynard.

And yeah... I've started "Cox-ing" co-workers who annoy me.

Do you call the women by stereotype descriptions?

20. it's the rants I love to use....
Not so much. But one guy I work with who has long hair gets the Barbie/Gina/Jennifer routine all the time. Mostly I just praphrase his rants. However I do call some of the less fit and anti-socialmales names like Jabba, Yoda, Sigmund or Andre.

But it's the rants I love to use. For example (and it may help to know that I work in a grfx/typesetting/printing company)

"Listen, cookie, you've been here over a month. This is Typesetting 101: I don't want every little thing run by me; I don't wanna give you my two cents' worth. But if you ever do wanna know my opinion, rest assured it will always be that you're an incredible painin the ass and that every time I see your kew-pie-doll face, it just makes me wanna pick you up and shake you until all the hours of my life that you've wasted...fall out. Now laugh."

"I'm gonna go ahead and do this just as slowly as possible so you don't misunderstand: Nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnooooooooooooooooooooooo."

and one of my fav's
"Yeah. Quick tip, there, sports-star -- when you're defensive about your feminine side, it just makes you seem more girly."

19. It's fanTAStic!!1 Never saw it "live" only now in re-runs.
My lack of cultural currency allows me to be shocked to discover (lately) that Sarah CHALKE was on Roseanne as a teen and that the actress playing Jordan was the girlfriend (one of them) on Drew Carey and is married to the creator of Scrubs.

This is up there with Reno 911. Also never saw The Drew Carey Show while it was running, only in cable re-runs, which really really compresses things and lets you see how a show and the characters developed. The first two seasons of the Drew thing were pretty bad, then you can see it hitting its stride.
