I remember the length of it, minutes and all, 'cause it was with my high school-era (now ex-) girlfriend who I am still close friends with it and we reference it from time to time when the subject of longest phone calls ever is brought up! Hey, she had a midnight curfew, it was summer, and we were 16 year olds who had just started dating. Sometimes the time you spend hanging out in person just doesn't seem like enough and you try to extend it as long as you can!

I did come close to breaking the record a few months ago, though. One of my other long-time best friends and I managed a four hour and forty minute phone call. I was picking on him that if we could just manage half an hour more on the phone we could break my all-time record! It was 4 AM, though, and he really needed to go to bed!

ON EDIT: BTW, congrats on managing a six-hour phone call! Now I have a new ridiculously long phone call length record to aspire to!

Was calling the GEnie number in Seattle when I lived in Juneau. Got called in to duty and was gone for about two days, while my computer politely kept my connection with Seattle.

Luckily both the phone company and GEnie forgave my absent-mindedness.

As for a voice phone call, when I lived in Italy, I spoke with my ex-fiance for 4 hours or so. Actually, she spoke, my input was pretty much just shifting the handset from ear to ear periodically.
