I am looking for a roommate smoker or non. I do smoke in my trailer. It is a nice 3 bedroom two bath trailer on one acre of land in Needville. I am just off of Hwy 39 and 59 South. I am minutes from Sugar Land. I am wanting someone to share half the utilities plus $200. a month rent, and you buy your own groceries. I have a twin size day bed and someother furniture that is not being used by me or my family that is in great gently used condition if you need it. I have a "barn" / storage area if you need to store your things.
I am not accepting anyone that is MOVING to Houston or the general area. I want someone that is already here.
There will be a Federal and State BACKGROUND and NCIC done on anyone that is a possible selection.

1. NCIC for these purporses is a violation of usage policy

And that buying my own groceries thing is a total dealbreaker anyway :eyes:

6. Actually in a sort of backwards way it makes sense
Shady characters likely to run out on an obligation or steal from you would probably be more likely to go for a $200 trailer than something more upscale.

I used to be friends with a guy who had a few rentals, none of which were anything special and none of which he could ask much for. It was really difficult to find trustworthy people to rent them to - while there are plenty of honest people out there who can't afford much, we also got people who tried selling coke out of them, who used them as a base to rob convenience stores, who eventually moved about 12 more people into a place that fit four at most, etc.

8. Exactly. I don't see anything unusual about this at all.
You want someone safe to share your home with, right? Why not do a background check? I don't get it.

5. a federal/state background check and NCIC to live in a TRAILER in TEXAS
that, to me, is hilarious.

your mileage may vary.

7. Well, I don't know what an NCIC is...
My mother lives in a trailer in Delaware, so I'm aware that some trailers are quite nice. Would you think it was as funny if it was a background check for a shared house in Texas? Because many double-wide mobile homes are as nice as houses inside. Perhaps it's your own inexperience with them...or perhaps you are needlessly judgemental?

10. I live in a mobile home park and most of the homes
are as nice or even nicer than some houses.

12. There ya go. Some of the ones in my mom's park have foundations
and decks and everything you would see on a regular house. People really don't understand their own ignorance until it's pointed out sometimes.

13. wow, some have foundations?
do they got them see-ment ponds too?

you'll have to excuse me, i'm very ignorant. and thanks for pointing that out for me. you are so very educated and yet you condescended to reach your latex-gloved hand to lift me from my oppressive state of nature. you truly are the shining beacon of hope, a fit example of the gentle persuasiveness of a well-formed compassionate intelligence. i will name my 15th child after you.

wow, what a wonderful person you are!
