What was the last thing you bought on ebay?
I got a DVD copy of the film musical "1776" for $10. I've always wanted to see it. And now I will.

Before that, I don't know. The auctions are too old to still be linked.

8. An original painting by James O'Barr, the creator of "The Crow"
My sweetie is one of his biggest fans, so for Christmas a couple of years ago I bought her a painting. It's really quite beautiful--the title is "Nevermore". I paid a pretty chunk of change for it, but it was worth it. At the time, it was one of the first uncommissioned original paintings of The Crow that he'd done in quite a while.

This is what it looks like. He still sells prints of it on eBay, which I find amusing--people buying prints of a piece of art that we own the original of. :)

Kingsblood Royal and Main Street. I've been on a kick of reading his stuff, and I couldn't pass up these older editions (Kingsblood a first edition, Main Street an early sixties paperback in NM- condition) when I saw them at pretty low prices.

20. An iBook keyboard for $3.25
Just a few days ago. Mac users will recognize this problem. My iBook is terrific but the keyboard is remarkably cheap and the keys fade. Right now I'm missing 16 keys, totally gone.

I was glad to find the keyboard offered by an individual seller with excellent feedback. The power sellers wanted $30 and up for the same keyboard.

38. Vintage cookie cutters,
the pressed tin kind.

I got two sets, one for each of my girls. The second set is still in the unopened package. They were stocking stuffers.

My family and I used to make Christmas cookies together when the kids were still at home. We started making them as Christmas presents for people when we did not have much money. It got to be a tradition. People would ask about the cookies if they did not get them.

Now my girls can start their own tradition, if they want. They were both pleased to get the cookie cutters. I know them well enough to know they were not faking.

49. Nina Hagen Double CD
Nina Hagen Band and Unbehagen. I've had the cassette tapes since the early 80's and they were old and getting stretched. I nearly bought them from Amazon Germany, but decided to take a look at eBay, since shipping costs more than the CD's. So I got them for half that cost. The jewel cases were kaputt, but I had spares.
