"According to AHS, two female residents witnessed the situation but refused to get involved."
They are involved already by witnessing it. They need to name names, if they have them. Or at least descriptions if they don't.

did they "refuse to get involved"?
I would have screamed, pulled that MoFo off the poor dog and pounded him!!
And I'm not a violent person. There's just something about attacks on children, animals, the elderly, the disabled and those unable to fight back that brings out the deranged Banshee in me.

|
Edited on Wed Jan-17-07 08:34 PM by jpgray
Best to just lock him up--being known as the dog-rapist in prison and the world at large will be punishment enough. I think a lot of the revenge fantasies people have about deranged criminals are a little bizarre--this man is obviously very sick in the head, and knocking it about won't fix that. But then I've never dreamed about whacking anyone with a blunt object. I understand people say that sort of thing to express their horror and anger at such crimes, but I wouldn't want to believe that people actually mean they wish to beat somebody up--violence doesn't solve problems, and beating somebody up wouldn't make me feel any better about his/her crimes, for one.

13. No dear, that would be revenge based on human emotion. |
|
True punishment comes in the form of captivity in a post-foreclosure home, already trashed by the prior owners. The lender isn't there, the neighbors don't pay attention and Code Enforcement is absent. They expect squatters and tweakers. The comings and goings of various people would go largely unnoticed.
Word leaks out that chained to a chair in the basement of said house is a person guilty of these crimes. He's the equivalent of a fight club bait dog. One can practice technique whenever and as often as desired, but only to a certain extreme. Folks could have it recommended that they put their cigs out on that soft skin behind his earlobes. You know, one of those spots where a lover finds an erogenous zone...or a dog likes scratchies.
After a week or so of the in-and-out of the takers of advantage, reeking in fear and blood, the guilty party is dumped in the street with the police report of his crimes staple-gunned both to his back and to his groin. That way, you don't have to turn him if he lands wrong.
Wow. Upon rereading, I bet I catch hell for this post.

Imagine the outcry if this type of "person" had some of those stainless steel studs Bedazzled into the upper back and shoulders. Then, legs tied to a bumper (so as to elevate the body to only have contact between the street and the newly emblazoned upper back of the guilty), dragged down the street, sparks just a-flyin' everywhere!

Let me know what the average served sentence is for this crime upon conviction.
Your previous little "dog rapist in jail" scenario...yeah, that'd suck for the whole week he was there, right?
Beastiality? That an actual sex offender "register with the county" type crime now? Not everywhere.
Sell your outrage elsewhere. I'm all stocked up.
What's terribly funny, is that what I posted is NO different than you. I didn't suggest that I'd do anything (revenge). I suggested that somehow, people, upon finding out what this person had done, would "take care of justice" in time.
Sound familiar? It should.

Why do we engage in revenge fantasies like this? Because we realize that the system does very little to protect the weakest among us, whether they walk on two legs or four.

No. This "vicious breed" of dog just took the abuse. I trust the rehab process will be sound, considering the source. You can push a dog so far, depending upon the dog. This is pretty far to be pushed.
So much for bullshit assclown breed specific hatred.

My youngest sister had a pit bull (poor baby finally had to be put down). Tessla was the most wonderful, loving dog. She had infinite patience with my nephew and the neighborhood kids. Never snapped at anyone. Never growled at anyone.
The fault in vicious pit bulls lies NOT with the animal, but with the asshole HUMANS who train them to be visious.
I hate it when I see stories of towns trying to ban the breed, just because of a few of the breed that have been trained badly.
