Emma my black lab mix, has much the same disposition as Katie. I adopted her a mere two weeks after Katie passed. I immediately regretted it because she was a puppy, a lot of work, and most importantly...not my Katie. 7 years later, I can't imagine my life without her. She knows exactly when I need her and will stay by my side on my lowest days. :loveya:

Here's me (in the middle) with the "cast" of The Wizard of Oz- there's an old theme park in Beech Mountain, NC that's based on "Oz". Even though they closed it in the late seventies they open it one weekend a year (the firs weekend in October, IIRC). I was lucky enough to go a couple of years ago. They even have a "tornado" and you basically walk through the whole movie.

Edit to add- here's a pic of me with my dad and super-cute nephew. It was so cold only his little Tigger hat could keep him warm. Aww.
