1. It's January 2007, Mr Van Winkle. The 2008 nominee will probably be decided by March '08. |

2. It's actually January 2007 and you have to live through |
|
Edited on Sun Jan-21-07 06:07 AM by Droopy
1 year and 10 months of this.
Alright, enough of my anal retention. Regarding the 2008 election you can just do like me and ignore everything until the Spring of 2008.

3. Who needs primary elections? |
|
The "liberal" media's doing a damn good job of picking the nominees for '08. Get ready for McCain vs. Hillary!

5. I'm very happy that I am so emotionally uninvolved in it. So |
|
uninvolved that it doesn't aggravate me that we're talking about it already. I haven't picked a candidate. Don't hate anyone, don't love anyone. I'm just a little slow on the uptake, I'm still basking in the glory of the 2006 midterms. :-)

6. It's freaking ridiculous. Canada's elections are basically only a month long. |
|
There's no fucking reason whatsoever why we have to take 2+ years to elect a President. It's absurd.

7. Just WAIT till the primaries start and it REALLY gets ugly... |

'deleted message' and 'this thread is locked' and 'cannot reply to post' are going to become sooo commonplace....

9. CHOOSE YOUR CANDIDATE RIGHT FUCKING NOW!1!1!!!! |
|
I kid of course, but kidding aside, for all intents and purposes the primaries will be over in about 14 months. That means the 2008 elections are right now.
DU's gonna be ugly for a while.

10. It is really nasty in GD |
|
I changed my avatar this morning, because I want to remain more neutral, for now. I like three of the candidates...so far, and would be happy if any of them were nominated.
I'm not sick of it, just think that much of the divisiveness is premature at this early juncture. I also think that all the squabbling can be a useful tool for the rethugs.

16. I just don't care at this point |
|
I'm just happy the Dems can sort of blunt the impact of the Bush admin. these next two years...and beyond that, well all I can say is it will be beyond Bush. Sure, I'll still vote for the Dem candidate and keep informed, but short of having Brownback as president (which isn't happening), I just don't feel the next election is worth worrying about just yet.

all this 2008 shit is one huge distraction, there will be investigations, indictments, trials, the dynamics are going to change so damn much I don't want to hear it, let me have some now time.

I don't care who the Democratic nominee will be. If I find one I love, I'll vote for them in the primary. Regardless, what's the point in arguing for two years? Are any of us thinking of voting for the Republican?
