wow, that was some funny. i had a squirrel run up to me, CLIMB up the front tire of my bicycle to demand a peanut once, boldest squirrel i ever saw. i've also seen squirrels fall a five meters to the ground and BOUNCE, and run away like nothing happened.

I keep a squirt bottle next to my kitchen window so I can nab them when they go after the bird seed in the feeders.
I give them those compressed corn treats; and there's plenty of seed that falls to the ground. So it's not like they're without food.
