Well, I introduced Sebastian to the Great Spirit yesterday
at about 1230. The vet came over, it was warm and sunny and he loved the sun porch. So.. I took him out there and on his favorite blanket I took him on that journey. I lit some candles and played George Harrison. Very peaceful and nice but god I am missing him. I still am seeing him out of the corner of my eye. I just keep reminding myself I did the right thing. I will always love you my best friend. See you among the stars.......

Jon

4. Since you told me about this I have been thinking about our cats
and what that would be like. You know my cats and I met Seb and the whole thing seems surreal. I feel very sorry for you and I can only imagine what not have him around is like. You did the right thing, there is no reason for him to suffer.

11. You'll continue to "see" him
for a long time. I still "see" and "feel" my Thomas (went through the same thing about a year-and-a-half ago). However, take heart. You're an animal lover and don't be surprised if another animal finds his/her way to your doorstep.

About a month after we had to put my Thomas down (I was inconsolable), I was looking out onto the patio and lo-and-behold, there were two, feral, starving, bedraggled kittens looking for something to eat. They've since been assimilated with my other 3 cats, have had their shots, are spayed, fat, happy, content and completely 'mesticated. I know it sounds stupid but I'm convinced Thomas sent them.

12. Second that
Have seen it happen over and over. Loving people will suddenly be choosen by a critter that seems to have just fallen out of the sky and literally onto their doorstep. When it happens, it is amazing and perhaps a message: "You were so good at loving me, I want you to love someone else too. It takes nothing away from the bond we had in life and will always have."

17. I'm so sorry,
I've had to do that myself to way too many of my furry and so very much loved friends throughout the years. I know how it hurts, but you really did do the right thing.
