Cruise 'is Christ' of Scientology
TOM Cruise is the new “Christ” of Scientology, according to leaders of the cult-like religion.

The Mission: Impossible star has been told he has been “chosen” to spread the word of his faith throughout the world.

And leader David Miscavige believes that in future, Cruise, 44, will be worshipped like Jesus for his work to raise awareness of the religion.

A source close to the actor, who has risen to one of the church’s top levels, said: “Tom has been told he is Scientology’s Christ-like figure.

5. I knew it
"Give us enough money and we'll turn you into Jesus!"

Ya should have followed the Church of the SubGenius, Tom. Our eternal salvation would have cost you only $30.00 - with a MONEY BACK guarantee.

15. You're not the Christ until you let yourself be killed in a salvific act of love.
He might be a Paul or a Peter or a Stephen.

But he's no Christ.

17. big diff between "christlike" and being "christ"
Edited on Wed Jan-24-07 12:01 PM by pitohui
the aim of all religion is to be christlike or a child of god, so what are they telling him that's any different from what my preacher told me or your preacher tells you?

indeed parts of the bible, esp. paul, hammer a lot on how if you follow the way you too will be honored as christ was honored

guess i don't see the difference, except christianity is a well-liked religion and scientology is a well-hated one

they're both about filling the ego of weak people w. a lot of crap

“Like Christ, he’s been criticised for his views. But future generations will realise he was right.”

everyone of us could say that about ourselves, we've all been misunderstood, boo hoo, but future generations will know and accept that we were right and everybody else was wrong

perfectly standard, nothing unique to cruise
