Invented by me. Tonight.
Me. <--:applause:
One of those large, instant ready to eat Uncle Ben's things, the brown rice version.
Low sodium, ready to go chicken broth in a box.
4 fake sausage link things from Bocca folks, cooked first in microwave and cut up.
Small can of diced Italian tomatoes.
Creole seasoning, cilantro, ground black pepper, etc.
Took five minutes total. Sausage things first in mic for 45 seconds. Cut them up (in bowl) while rice did its thing in pouch for 2 minutes. Dump rice into bowl. Dump tomatoes and broth into bowl. Season. Stir. Mic fer another 2 minutes. Clean one bowl. Rock on w/ my bad self.

If not clean, rinsed it good, at least. Gonna have my oatmeal (or grits) in it later tonight....

4. Well, "good" is relative |
|
If you are craving the real thing, you will be really disappointed, I'm afraid. But if you are watching fat and cholesterol--and are used to such fare--you might be pleasantly surprised.

5. Mine is lower in fat then most gumbo. |
|
I use skinless chicken and low fat sausage. I might make nest weekend if I have time. It's been gumbo weather here, for about a week.
