I'll believe it when I see it. But the mad rush at the grocery store has begun... the pack of wild dogs has snapped up every loaf of bread and every jug of milk, leaving empty shelves and crumbs in its wake... My husband went grocery shopping this afternoon (normal stuff, as we do NOT hoard food during bad weather, 'cause it never lasts more than two days) and gave me the report. :P

I was taking SO to his incarceration and running errands. Went to Food Lion and it was pretty quiet--but that was about 8:30.
I hope it's not too bad;I have to go pick him up at 7:30 am. WITH the baby in the car.

5. man, I was hoping it was gonna be a false alarm
but I did buy some hay straw for the dogs outside just in case. I pack it in their dog houses really tight and also make paths on the ground they can walk on in the snow, because we have four outside dogs.

6. We're supposed to get the snow & ice here in Athens, GA.
The bigggest danger isn't the ice, it's the other drivers. :scared:

I grew up on a mountain in the Chattanooga area which has wicked ice storms. I'm used to it, but these lowlanders are crazy ass bad drivers in any sort of icy conditions.
:scared:

Stay safe.

7. I can tell you
that it is here now and heading your way if it holds together. Just got back from Cabo and whales were fantastic now back to winter next weekend it's the Caribbean. We are avoiding winter as much as possible.

8. This behavior has always amazed me
Maybe it's because I've always lived in rural areas but I ALWAYS have emergency food on hand and I never let my cupboards get so bare that I'd be in trouble if I couldn't get out for a few days. And you'd think people who live in hurricane country or earthquake country or blizzard country would have some kind of stuff stocked up.

But no - as soon as that radar starts looking iffy, they descend on the grocery store like a plague of locusts. :wtf:
