Vista, however, is still bloaty and rubbish for the price... Pity they couldn't get WinFS worked out...

The full Vista install is 7GB. 3GB of which is in a subfolder whose purpose is entirely alien to me, and contains about 50 subfolders of its own pertaining to different installation types. I'm going to see if I can try a trial version and do some research and see if that crap can be deleted. Anything to make Vista a reasonable size...

MS claims Windows automatically decides what level of performance is needed, but it's missing the human factor and intuition. Plus, no matter how MS sets things, there are always other services that are not needed or leave vulnerabilities (such as telnet), so they may as well be disabled...
