Does anyone else dislike the Views counter?

You get to see how many people are reading your post and ignoring it. I preferred it when it just looked like no one saw it as it sank into oblivion.

1. The ratio of views to posts is almost always x10

Its creepy. There is a pretty consistent trend, no matter what the thread is about. Once I realized that it didn't bother me any more.

16. I hate it for all the reasons you stated.

I'm used to my threads sinking and it bugs me to see 100 plus views (or more) and only one or two responses. It's not that I don't appreciate the responses though :)

But if you're not viewing your thread -- just all the threads in the Lounge, GD, or wherever, hitting refresh won't add unless someone viewed it. I'll admit to just doing that experiment. :blush: I do agree that the view counter doesn't seem to be very accurate.
