Diana Ross just killed my love of music. |

Her new CD was being played at Real Chili while we ate our dinner. Therein she butchers such notable tunes as Bill Withers' classic "Lovely Day," "Take My Breath Away" (sadly lacking John Crawford's trademark edginess), and "Only You."
It has all the passion, drive, and soul of "Pat Boone Sings Ballads of Christmas and Patriotism."

that's a shame. Saw her a couple years ago in concert, and she was great. But I saw her on Letterman recently doing something from the album... and yeah... it sucked.
Not everybody has the voice to sing the standards (paging Rod Stewart!)
