Well, I just ate my first proper meal in over 3 weeks |
|
I normally cook up this healthy mock-chinese chicken, broccoli, pea pod, carrot, onion, water chestnut, celery dish on top of a bed of Uncle Ben's brown rice (the healthy stuff) and topped with those pointless chinese noodle things.
Before the illness, I could scarf down a wholloping plateful.
Today, I barely ate 1/3rd of the plate and got FULL. 5 minutes later I had to go to the loo, but amusingly all the food stayed in this time...
Henceforth, I will no longer gorge myself every time I eat. When I start to feel full, I stop. No more continuing to shove food in until it's impossible like I had done.
That's probably why I weighed 230 pounds before all this started, and today I'm at 216, hehehe).
I love eating and now I can't even do that. And there's nobody to have sex with either as that's a much more interesting habit... And I've seen television for too many hours straight... oh well, I'll go watch the fish swim aimlessly until Knight Rider comes on!

4. As Khan once said, "the game is not over" |

I love Khan... Anyway, although I am feeling well enough to properly eat anything approaching a meal, I won't know until Sunday if the meds are really helping. :-( But the fact I can eat more than 4oz of soup is promising. And if the meds don't help, then it's colonoscopy time. :scared: I don't like the idea of having things stuck up there, least of all a camera with room for 36 exposures in full color! I'd recommend Fuji Reala 100, myself...
I do appreciate everyone's concern though, thank you!

3. I'm glad your eating again |
|
Three weeks is a long time to be without anything substantial. It is a good thing that you had a little bit of extra weight to burn. Don't over do eating. I wrecked my appetite for now and had horrible stomach cramps after I ate an Italian sausage and roast beef sandwich from the vending machine at work, a piece of pepperoni and ham pizza after work, and then drank a 20oz bottle of the caffeinated green 7up an hour later. So less than two days after I finally wanted to eat again, I don't feel like eating anything again. I cannot believe that I was so stupid to wreck my better health like that. Don't do what I did.

5. Glad you're feeling better |
|
The last time I got stomach flu, I had the same shrunken stomach experience. Sorry to report that those "I'll start eating less now" good intentions lasted about one day. Hopefully you'll do better.
