I don't drink as much water as I should and recently discovered that adding lemon really makes it a more pleasureable experience. Then I googled 'Lemon with water' and found this: http://www.proliberty.com/observer/20040711.htm

Just thought I'd share.

2. I like drinking martinis with a twist of lemon peel.
Never been a big fan of olives.

Oh, and lemon is good in water, too.

13. A Vesper?

"A dry martini," Bond said. "One. In a deep champagne goblet."

"Oui, monsieur."

"Just a moment. Three measures of Gordon's, one of vodka, half a measure of Kina Lillet. Shake it very well until it's ice-cold, then add a large, thin slice of lemon peel. Got it?"

"Certainly, monsieur." The barman seemed pleased with the idea.

"Gosh, that's certainly a drink," said Leiter.

Bond laughed. "When I'm...er...concentrating," he explained, "I never have more than one drink before dinner. But I do like that one to be large and very strong and very cold and very well-made. I hate small portions of anything, particularly when they taste bad. This drink's my own invention. I'm going to patent it when I can think of a good name."

3. Very interesting.
I also read that lemon juice helps loose weight if you drink some every morning and evening.

8. It does.
I've lost about twelve pounds since I started doing this last month. It has almost completely eliminated heartburn that I have at night as well.

9. That's what I needed to hear - from somebody who
has tried it herself. How much do you take? I'll buy lemons tomorrow!

16. I don't really drink a fixed amount.
I just drink it throughout the day so maybe four or five glasses. I drink water and tea the rest of the time. I have noticed that after a few days Coke and coffee start to taste funny so I don't drink them anymore, but that could just be me.

15. Well, with oranges I don't bother washing because I toss the rind...
with lemons, I cut them up, squeeze the juice and toss rind and pulp in the glass. :-)

I have to work at bars quite often so in order to blend in and not get drunk, I often drink water with lime.

12. I love fizzy water with lemon and lime slices. It's my favorite drink!
I buy limes by the bag! :)

Have you tried the True Lemon and True Lime packets of crystallized lemon and lime? They are very good for when one runs out of the actual fruit. I keep them in my desk drawer at work.

so yeah, a lemon helps.

Regular water is just so boring, I need something to spice it up.
