I gave a heart to someone i don't know, is that weird? |
|
i've seen their posts and all but never communicated with them. It was someone who didn't have one yet.

3. No thats what you're supposed to do |
|
I think at least. I always give hearts to those without one. My friends will understand and hopefully do the same. :)

you may think I'm weird too, though.
I was at the store this weekend and the Girl Scouts were out selling cookies. I bought a box of Thin Mints and then handed them to the first person who walked out of the store. I wanted to make a contribution, but didn't want to consume the calories.

9. thats really nice, you probably made someone's day and as a former troop leader |
|
we always appreciated someone buying even just one box of cookies. Loved being a troop leader, hated selling the cookies.

16. Those dang Thin Mints! I love those cookies and being a big dummy, I can't turn down a bunch of |
|
young girl scouts standing outside shivering trying to sell cookies. I even run to the ATM if I have to. Most of the girl scout cookies I buy go into the trash eventually though.

It's fun to see some of them on the Thank You thread happy that they got a heart. I may donate more money just to make the day of some more DUers!
This is fun! :)

12. I had two. Gave one to a chum (I have a few here) and the other to a stranger. |
|
It's anonymous anyway, so why not?

Sometimes I give hearts out to people that I've gotten into arguments with just because. :hi:

it felt kind of sneaky in a good way. I just went to GD, picked a busy thread and chose two names of individuals that didn't have them. Some person gave me one, and it felt pretty good, so I wanted someone else to feel that way too.

on your Ignore list. Weird, but weirdly in the spirit of DU too. ;)

18. Not only did I give a bunch to people I don't know, but to people |
|
who were being cranky
In fact a few of them were pissing me off
So that may seem very weird
In the end it does not matter, because DU gets the donations,
and that is a good thing

19. I've been giving them to people who don't have any |
|
So far, I haven't given one to anyone I know. I love the anonymity of it. I have no idea who gave me mine - besides Skinner and he had to - and that's part of the fun.

I will be donating in the next few days, and I will donate to someone who does not have a heart so we can all have a DU heart Someone gave me one, I'm kind of a loner on here, so that was sweet.......
