5. Too many former Dbacks, perhaps?
Yeah, it's really too soon to know what'll happen. But damn, I'm just starved for baseball right now so anything will do to have an excuse to talk about it.

4. It's really hard to take Dayn Perry seriously
The guy is a serious hack.

He's got the M's pegged about right at 24 though.

7. It'd be interesting to look back at these rankings in Sept.
I bet not one of them is correct.

8. That division is a meatgrinder.
They are going to feast on the bloody entrails of the weak west.

11. And you'll have Thom Brennaman
as your new announcer. You're gonna hear 'Goodness gracious' from him sooo many times you'll actually begin to dislike the guy. I'm so sorry!

13. I wonder if my team can finally ever beat your team.
I hope Webb or Johnson are pitching every time. Then the Dbacks may have a slight chance. They just don't seem to do well against the Mets. Of course, the last few years they haven't done very well against anyone.

20. That Brandon Webb kid is going to be really good
I know last year when we played you it was right in the middle of that west coast winning streak when it didn't seem like we'd ever lose a ballgame but that was also right in the middle of that Jason Grimsley mess too.

22. That was really the beginning of the end
for the '06 season. The Dbacks could just never recover.

Webb is gonna be a blast to watch for many years to come. He's just getting warmed up!

Good luck to your Mets this year! :hi:

25. Good luck to the DBacks...
The NL West should be an interesting division to watch this year. The last few years it always seems like they go right down to the wire for the division title

14. Never wager anything valuable
based on pre-season predictions, no matter how many SABR numbers are behind 'em.

Waaaaaayyy too much stuff can happen over 162 games.

19. They play their ST games just 5 mi from where I live.
I wish I had someone to go those games with. It would be fun to see some different teams so close to home.
Mr azmouse doesn't like baseball much so he won't go. :(

23. Yep. The atmosphere is more casual
and you can usually get closer to the players for pics and autographs if that is your kinda thing!
And everyone is just so happy to have baseball back again for another season!
