I parked next to the guy to get gas and tossed him a snide, "nice bumpersticker," complete with eyeroll. I know, real mature.
The dumbass got all excited and said, "Yeah! I'm sick of hearing about gays thinking they should be able to get married and all that shit. They're fucking disgusting."

I said, "I was being sarcastic, honey. I think you're the one who's 'fucking disgusting'."
He muttered something largely indiscernable about me being a lesbian, and I laughed and said, "Yeah, tell yourself whatever you need to, to explain why women find you repulsive."

What I find most ironic is this: Ask a "traditional marriage" nut to explain what their problem with gays is. You'll be told (a) that "the Bible forbids homosexuality" (can't do much with those people - they're minds have been made up for them) or (b) that "they're promiscuous and irresponsible." I always ask these people that if that's what they really believe, then why would they take issue with a gay couple wanting to formalize a commitment (and put half or more of their personal assets at risk) to an exclusive, life long relationship. In every case I've seen, they still won't get it. Scary.
