ice and snow sliding off the metal roof is driving the dogs nuts!

1. Don't you have those snow guards?

Our metal roof has those little half-moon thingies that keep the snow from sliding. They seem to work.

3. Right along the edge

We have two rows of snow guards right along the edge of the roof above the gutters. We generally don't get enough snow here to worry about weight, but we DO get enough snow to be unpleasant if it hits you on the head. The snow guards prevent the avalanche problem quite nicely.
