Lost power @ 6:30am EST yesterday. As far as I know we still don't have power. I left the house in a hurry this morning to get to work, where there is power, and heat, precious heat!!! The wind chill right now is around 9degrees. BRRR!

6. I feel your pain

The last bout of crappy weather here in the great NW left us without power for 8 1/2 days. The whole area was literally a disaster area. Glad to hear you can get to work where there is heat and light. And your buddies on DU! Stay safe and warm. Hope your power comes back soon!

I remember that; I have a friend in Seattle who was w/o power for a week or so. No fun, but at least he had someone to stay with. I'm pretty much screwed. Work is my haven, which is pretty sad, cuz I'd rather be freezing my butt off at home.

9. UPDATE:

Shortly after posting this message, I got a message on my phone from my mother saying the power was back on. HOWEVER, about 1 1/2 hours later, I got another message from her....yep, the power is off again. F$@%#@$@ :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

But I heard her say that she warmed up the house a little...whoop dee fucking doo. Not gonna do me any good by the time I get home. Argh.

At least, not til the end of the month. I told her to get out of the house and go somewhere warm. I think she's waiting to see if it comes back on so she can watch tv...Last night she turned on her little b&w battery-powered tv so she could watch Lost... :eyes:
