I have a little hash pipe that keeps clogging. I have tried pipe cleaners, but have better luck with a large paper clip, they're stronger. Is there some kind of solvent that I can soak it in? It is made of steel fittings. I have had it 30 years and don't want to dump it.

1. A guy I knew used Simply Green or Ammonia! I can't say how |
|
safe either are, but they got the pipes back to new!

2. If you really want to clean it and still get resin... |
|
...you can rest the bottom of the pipe in hot water so that all the resin loosens and then try to lift big chunks out of it w/ a paper clip (which is what I use too, lol).
Good luck!!

3. isopropyl alcohol seems to work just fine... |
|
and get the bristle pipe-cleaners, not the only-cotton kind.
That should fix you right up!

5. any type of citrus juice |
|
will work. Let soak over night and a pipe cleaner will get it sparkly clean.

Takes time to do it though.Has to soak for a while. The longer the better.

11. I also use a large paper clip that I heat up... |
|
which I then run through the stem. The resin you capture can then be wiped on a paper for later enjoyment
