I like people who look "soft" and welcoming. Sensitive.
I saw one of those "50 Hottest Bachelors!11!1!! OMG!1!!" postings online, and then just about every guy had rock-solid abs and defibrillator tongues hanging out. I don't really "do" that whole muscle-man thing, which I guess is really weird. I just like a softer edge to people.

1. "defibrillator tongues"?
I'm not even sure what that is!

2. I'm trying to exercise description here.
You know, those allegedly "sexy" tongues that look like they could rev someone to the edge.

IBTL now. Look at what you made me type!

:grr:

:P

3. I have the samwe prob. w/ "The 50 Hottest Models" stuff
And not all of them, but ENOUGH of them. Some of them look like broomsticks with mammary-shaped saline bags attached, with vaguely lip-shaped collagen lumps atop a botox-infested head. More like a sixth-grader's drawing of what he THINKS a woman is supposed to look like as opposed to what a woman really DOES look like. And then no one is happy, because men think that's what they're supposed to want, and women think that's what they're supposed to be, and vice versa.

And some of these women have not only apparently never eaten a french fry, they can't even spell "french fry." The few that do often think that it's some kind of "ethnic" food, so they stay away from them.

It's all part of our terribly materialistic, consumerist, and advertising-based society, but the Lounge probably isn't the best place to go on w/ that rant.

And for the record, I actually AM a man with six-pack abs: drink too many six packs, and you get abs like mine!

5. I've always preferred guys with tummy and love handles...
It's much nicer to cuddle with.

6. Same here
"Nerdy" is even better. :loveya:

I love looking at 'regular' people; 'the beautiful' people, to me, aren't nearly as interesting.

"Mr Hard Abs" doesn't do anything for me.

7. Yuck no. I would never want to be with a guy who looks like he spends 8 hrs a day
at the gym. Even if I could attract a guy who looks like that. I work out 4-6 days a week but that is what I do for my health. And I made sure to find a gym that was full of regular people, sans makeup and designer workout clothes, wearing old concert t-shirts and shorts to WORK OUT. Gods I hate gyms that could pass for singles bars.

8. I Like Real People Too
maybe because I am one

and so are 99% of people

beauty isn't the rock hard abs or the boob job wonders

it's just people that are who they are

9. Well, I was definatly built for comfort...
Although in my day, I could bench 250, do twenty one handed push ups and crank out 150 sit-ups before I ate breakfast...

But that was how I stayed sober...

After it looked as if I was going to make it sobe wise, I cut back drastically in the exercise...

10. I like the soft look on women, most of the time.
Especially facial features.

11. I agree, WIMR.
Unless a man is very tall and therefore big by default ( :P ) I prefer having more to hold on to. It's because I've always felt big and awkward and a larger man makes me feel more feminine.

12. There was a study a few months ago.... that women do prefer to marry men with softer facial features
instead of the chiseled-jaw types.

Sorry, I can't recall the source.

13. My problem with most "hot bachelor" type listings is not their body types. It's their ages!
If a man looks like he could be my son or son-in-law, I'm just not interested.

14. Well yes, that is a definite turn-off!
I have one exception, though. One of my friends sent me a photo of Wes Clark in swim-trunks.... Wowweeee!!!! There is one fine looking well-chiseled man who has "aged well"!

15. Wes Clark wouldn't be an exception, unless you're old enough to be his mom.
:)

It's the younger guys who turn me off, not the older ones.

23. I can't imagine they'd care, nor would my grandmothers or my mother.
Just because I've already ordered my meal doesn't mean I can't look at the menu.

19. You'd like me then
My middle name is Softie. Droopy Softie Mushenheim. Don't ask me what my mother was thinking when she came up with that one.

Seriously, you have a more realistic view of people than some guy or gal who is looking for someone with 0% body fat. Most people have to work for a living and don't have time to attain the perfect body and are not blessed with rock-solid genes.

How could you say no to cuddling with this:

:loveya:

PS:

I agree with you--lots of muscles don't do it for me.
