Is The Shield ever going to have a Season Six?

I swear that is the only program that runs a season then disappears for an entire year. Does anybody know when/if the new season will begin?

1. Technically, the previous season is only half over

The second half of season 5 should air sometime soon and then there's going to be a sixth (and probably final) season 6 next year.

4. I don't care what they call it

When they leave so long a gap between new episodes, I consider its return a new season, "technically" or not. It's a game they wanna play, but I'm not into it.

though I accept the long delays between seasons on FX and HBO in return for their stuff being so much better than most of what's on the big networks, you know?
