9. I'm in a similar boat.
Except it's coworkers.

Brought in on a new product.

One that's proving to be less than effective but, you guessed it, the preceding product is being the one blamed.

Whatever. I will not let them win. They can huff and puff all they like; they will not win. I will not let the hiccups anger me. I will not let their known dislike of my dislike alter me. Management has maintained if people have a problem with each other they talk about it directly. Therefore anything I hear is not the truth because nobody has told me about it.

Meanwhile I'm being left out of things.

Just ride it along.

Knowing the types of 'deliverance', it is a prime example of... faith... that keeps me here. But I still have reasons to live. They do not revolve around work. And there is a chance I can find something better.

8. Yes, but I would guess that you also need a lot of support as you go through a difficult time.
Workplace difficulties can be especially difficult because we spend so much of our waking lives in the office.

19. L. Ron Hubbard is the dianetics guy.
Elrond is the Lord of the Rings guy. It's a stupid, dorky, pointless play on words, but I happen to like it.
Still wonder why it's terrible though :P

25. Your situation at work will change - just give it time
Ask yourself how your situation today is different from where it was six months ago. Then think about a year ago. Then a year and a half ago, etc. You will probably see that the dynamics of your work place change significantly approximately every six months. Things that bothered you a year ago probably may not cause you any concern today. It will be the same six months or a year in the future. The only constant at work is change.

Your current situation will pass. It may feel like a kidney stone today, but it will pass. And if you are convinced it will not change, then the ball is in your court.

Tomorrow will be a better a day. Good luck!

30. A year and a half ago I felt just like you
I was openly being forced out of my job. Instead of giving in I actively sought out a transfer, landed a promotion in another area and have been happy ever since. It could happen for you too.

39. no, i know
But its a bad habit and I already know too much. Its amazing to have this manager smile in my face at a morning meeting, knowing full well that he is sharpening the knife he's going to stick in my back. I couldn't do what he's doing- but he does it to people all the time- he's a real conniver.

And I figure if I'm leaving anyway, its time for me to make a play for Mr. Cookies.
