My father is an ob/gyn and he always told his daughters not to announce the pregnancy until the first trimester has passed because early miscarriages are so common. It doesn't make it any easier though. :hug:

I think it happens more than we know. It doesn't make it any easier. I have a sister-in-law that lost a baby in her first trimester and she conceived shortly after that and delivered a full term baby with two more full term pregnancies that followed.

This may give you some comfort.

I had a miscarriage after my first baby (my son). I conceived again within a few months (gosh it's hard to wait to try again, but I let just a couple months go by before trying). My daughter was conceived on the first try. I'm hoping they have the same good luck.
