12. Is it a pyramid too? I haven't been all the way up the Florence road in ages, and don't think I've
ever seen it.

Know you go more often

13. Here's something similar
Edited on Tue Feb-20-07 11:54 PM by Prisoner_Number_Six
This is in the Mt. Olivet historical cemetery in Nashville. I took this shot one day while taking pictures of tombstones. I never made a note of who was interred.

14. cool - who is interred there?
I used to live pretty close to "Hunt's Tomb" on a hill in Papago Park on the east edge of Phx - near the zoo and hole in the rock, for any Phoenicians that may know the area (across the canal in North Tempe)

Will look for a pic - don't have one of my own

16. here is another
photo from az.gov :

from http://www.tucsoncitizen.com/intucson/history_culture/032506a16_governorstomb :

First governor's tomb needs repairs

The Arizona Republic

The tomb where Arizona's first governor is buried needs repairs, and some people are calling on city officials to pay for the restoration.

Long cracks and huge divots scar the once-alabaster tiles of the Hunt's Tomb landmark in Papago Park.

The white pyramid-shaped tomb was built in 1932 by Gov. George P. Hunt for his late wife, Helen. He joined her two years later, fulfilling his wish to be buried in a place overlooking the Phoenix metropolitan area.

The 100-member Gov. George P. Hunt chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution has lobbied to support the memorial to one of the state's first supporters of women's suffrage.
