2. Yeah, but then I can't pull girly-poo's work for today |
|
and give her something constructive to do. So she'll spend the day text-messaging and curling her hair and getting into my makeup.
But...if I motivate (HA!) and get my backside in gear and get out of here, I can get back and keep on posting.
Yesterday (at least I think it was yesterday) I needed 500+. Now I'm at about 350.

3. Cheaper at Cartridge World... |

They'll refill them, for about half price.

5. They can be refilled only so many times before they wear oout... |
|
Edited on Wed Feb-21-07 12:56 PM by HypnoToad
And some (Lexmark and HP) have built-in print heads. They also change 'technology' to make an attempted refill operation to ruin the head within. Clever... Sad, given how often a print head can be used, but clever...
And the quality of the ink.
Nor do I doubt anybody has UltraChrome K3 inks at half the price... nor would I trust them. :)

Why didn't I think of that? I ended up at OfficeMax 'cause I hoped they'd have the free paper thing going...but they didn't.
And Cartridge World is only about a block from OfficeMax.

4. Depends on the model... |
|
Most brands ramp up ink prices as a 'hidden market'. The cheaper the model, the more quickly the cost of new ink outdoes the initial cost. TCO is much worse for the "low priced miracles"...
Top line models usually have a better ink cost/quantity ratio, but it still hurts.

10. Yeah...but I've got a part of a short story to print up again |
|
because the first time I printed it up, it got left in my car and there are a ton of pot holes on the bridge I have to cross every time I leave my house and I don't ever leave my house without my coffee cup and...well...said short story -- it's not pretty.
So I have to make my little notes all over again. It's not like there were a LOT of notes, but still...
Plus I do better editing my own stuff when I've got a hard copy.

9. When I bought my last printer I bought it based on who had the cheapest ink |
|
When it costs $50 to replace the cartridges on a $100 printer then there is something horribly wrong.
I got it down to $25 for a set for a $150 printer

11. Mine run about $15.00 |
|
a piece...but they don't last very long at all. When I'm pulling schoolwork, a cartridge only lasts about a week.
