Was running Xp media center edition on a shitway from BestBuy, but boss wanted it installed in office to make sure our software ran okay with it, I was chosen.

Granted, the install/upgrade path options were a complete catastrophe on M$s part, but where the old install with shite gateway drivers would consistently freeze and go black for 5 seconds at a time on me, Vista is flying along.

1. What is so good about this upgrade?

I am running XP Pro, but I'm hearing a lot of stuff about this Vista upgrade. Is it worth it?

It's pretty yes, but certainly not essential.

Started it at 5:30 and left the office around 8ish.

5. Well, a fresh OS install can often speed things up...

...but I doubt that this is a particular virtue of Vista. It may just be a measure of how corrupt the old XP was.
