Completely meaningless trivia question/word problem
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly is one of my all-time favorite movies. The plot, set in the Civil War days, finds the Good (Clint Eastwood), the Bad (Lee van Cleef) and the Ugly (Eli Wallach) chasing after $200,000 in US gold coins that lie buried in a desert cemetery in Texas. The Good and The Ugly eventually end up "splitting" the gold, which is in 8 bags. Assuming that there is an equal amount in each bag, how much does each bag weigh?

Hints: A $20 gold piece from that era contains approximately 30 grams of pure gold. 90% of the weight of each coin is gold; the remaining 10% is alloy metal (copper).

1. Lets see.
$200,000 = 10,000 $20 gold coins
10,000 @ 33 grams each = 330 klograms
2.2 kilogram per lb = 726 lbs
divided by 8 = 90.75 lbs each

2. Darn, you're good!
Each bag weighs approximately 90.75 POUNDS! The Ugly lifted two of those bags at a time-- his own body weight-- out of the grave. He was a strong stinker, wasn't he? And the Good loaded FOUR of those bags (360 pounds+) onto his horse! When Eastwood's body weight is included (assuming 180 pounds), that makes a total load of 540 pounds that horse would have to carry through the desert!

3. Well, it was a MOVIE after all.
Screenwriters have never been known for their mathematical skills.

On the other hand, I have no clue how to spell. (Love spellcheck!)
