I've already had 2 tests that confirmed that I have either pre or early stage multiple myeloma. I'm waiting for a call about the 3rd test, then I have to have a bone marrow biopsy. I can't even tell you how much this sucks. I survived stage IV ovarian cancer a long time ago and I thought I was done with it. Oh well, I'm pretty ornery, so we'll see.

My father had myelodysplasia, which morphed into leukemia, and I wouldn't wish what he went through on anyone. I hope they've figured out a way to stop the progression by now.

It seems like a good sign you survived a Stage IV before. May fate be with you this time as well.

My primary care doctor said that since the Stage IV became systemic - it metzed into some lymph nodes - that this "recurrence" was pretty likely. I want to be around when the Monkey King grows old and dies of natural causes so I can go pee on his grave. How's that for a lofty goal? :hug:

I'm doing okay. Thanks for asking. I talked to my general practitioner and he said the odds are 75% that a recurrence will happen when you have a devastating cancer when you're young. Since I was 30-31 when I had systemic ovarian cancer, the odds are definitely not in my favor. I haven't heard about the latest blood test or the date that I'm having the marrow biopsy.

I'm having to go through all the rigamarole to do a disciplinary action against an employee so the stress isn't helping at all.
