Have you seen these upscale fast food joints? |

Pizza Hut has one called 'Italian Bistro' and I just saw one for Arby's called 'Fresh Neighborhood Kitchen'. One more nail in the coffin of Western civilization. The Arby's actually had an atrium in the dining area with a rather large tree to give the place some kind of ambiance. Only the tree was way too big. Life imitating art, wasn't it 'Demolition Man' with the thespian Sylvester Stallone that had the gourmet 'Le Taco Bell' as the finest dining establishment in the land? We are doomed I tells ya, doomed!!!

1. Haha... I hadn't thought of 'Le Taco Bell' in a long time. |
|
Thanks for reminding me.

2. We had a JBX Bistro here for a while; I think it was a test market. |
|
It's back to a plain old Jack In The Box now.

Did JBX Bistro have a wine list you could select from? Please say that it did.

5. Yeah, but they didn't start out as greasy burger joints. |
|
I actually ate at Panera for the first time this past weekend. GF and I were out and wanted soup cause it was rainy and cold. We figured a bread place would have soup. We were right. It got our standard non-committed approval. "Wasn't that bad for what it is." which is our generic term for pretty fucking average.

9. We had a Chico's Tecate Grill here |
|
I loved it. It was way up in the far end of town, so I didn't frequent it enough to get sick of it. I was just up there recently, and it's now a Taco Time Cantina. Ugh.
