about getting kids to eat more vegetables. One woman called to say she gave her kids different pureed vegetables and not fruits when they were first starting to eat solid food. They didn't get the taste for anything sweet until they were older. Another mom said her kids liked frozen veggies better than raw or cooked. My son often liked frozen veggies until he was ten or so. I thought it was fun to give my son animal crackers when he was about two, but he didn't need them, and now I know they have not only sugar and refined flour, but also saturated fat, and he probably started getting a 'sweet tooth' then. I knew a woman who gave her kids only healthy, whole foods. When they were 6 and 8 she discovered they were getting free candy from the neighbor's kids. Their dad supplied vending machines and had cases of candy bars in the garage!
