Not everyone in the county is getting this, but here it is one of those picture post card perfect things. So quiet except for the just audible "plf" of quarter sized flakes arresting on a bed of white.

this morning around 6:30, and in the course of less than a mile, it went from flurries to big, fluffy, traffic-blocking snow. (I have no windows in my office, so who knows what's going on now...)

I moved the christmas tree into the flower bed to provide a little more cover for birds skiddish about coming to the feeder, and at this moment it looks like one of those flocked (sp?) trees from my childhood.
