1. Rudy, Rudy, Rudy, Rudy, Rudy!
Although, I have some issues with the movie, it's pretty good. A true story as well. I don't like the way Dan Devine was presented. He comes off as the bad guy, when in reality he wasn't nearly as antagonistic as he was portrayed.

comparison between "reel life" and "real life":

some dramatic license, but a really good movie.

3. Ahhh, the story of how Notre Dame ran up the score on Georgia Tech
against the will of their coach so a kid they'd used and screwed over about for four years could get in a game. Never mind all the other practice squad players on the team through the years that didn't get into a game. Yes, truly inspirational.

5. Rudy has a mansion in an exclusive golf course community
in Las Vegas (Anthem). It is a very nice place on the outside (I, of course, have never been in there). So I guess getting used by Notre Dame worked out for him. I understand he makes his money by doing motivational speaking.

6. I can always get caught up in this movie
but then have to ask myself whether or not he found his life incredibly hollow after his five seconds of gridiron glory? I realize the greater point is supposed to be the perseverence of the human spirit, determination, etc, but to have your life's goal wind up being a seconds-long footnote...well, that depresses me a little. Also very angry to learn the jersey scene was fiction.

8. A Chick Flick for Boys
Now the boys can feel alright when they cry at the end of a movie; cuz little Rudy remained tough, and overcame it all. Wah Wah Wah!

That Rudy! Oh, I've still retained my masculinity, but O that RUDY! ;-)
