5. Total Geek! I'm so proud! 28.59961%
The one that I was most embarrassed, or perhaps proud, to check off was, "2+ sound effects CDs." I have several, due to my love for Halloween and a geeky need for a theme production on my front porch each year.

I also married a geek who is far, far geekier than I am!!

Brainy = sexy, bay-beh!!!

As a female I am proud of my geekiness. I love techie stuff, science, math, history, sci-fi --you name it.

If only when I went to school oh so many years ago that the girls had been given more encouragement in the math/sciences.

34. I could have scored higher, but I didn't go theoretical and scored a mere:
31.55819% - Total Geek

They could have used Neil Gaiman as an author as well as Asimov and other authors. Fantasy is as much geeky as sci-fi...

And where the heck was Doctor Who on that list? It's far cooler than Trek because it's more than preachy space opera on a starship that always seems to go on a 2D axis despite being in a 3D environment because the ship looks dumb from certain angles...

What, I know of playing games on a PDA. But I play 'em on my cell phone too. Isn't that worse?!

I'd go on, but this is enough! :D

I thought it would be lower since I'm way out of high school. Was voted most studious, so that pretty much defined me at the time. The most fun was thinking how much higher my husband's would be than mine (all the computer guy stuff not on mine). Then my son said "What's a geek?" and I said just wait. Although it may not be soon, since his school is very tolerant and full of young geeks! (we used to be known as nerds) In the long run I have to say being a nerd or geek ( or are they not the same?) paid off.

50. I'm too old for most of this stuff to apply
Got an 18.3432% anyway, but far too many of the categories (RPGs, Star Wars, most of the computer stuff) didn't come along until I was already well past the age when one has enough free time to jump into things in the full-on way that the test requires.

On the other hand, either of my kids would score far higher than I did -- and that in itself would make an appropriate question if I retooled this test for us paleogeeks:

__have you raised your children to be geeks?
______deliberately?

62. Other suggestions
How many COBOL opcodes do you have memorized? Can you explain what the data division is all about?

Do you know what the letters RPG stand for in the programming language?

Did you ever write a program in BAL? Dibol? Pick Basic?

Did you ever write your own relational database on a PC in Basic?

Did you ever write your own ASCII star trek game in Basic? And if you did, did you have to back it up on paper tape?

Did you ever set up a Ham radio packet station?

Did you ever own a blue box?

Were you ever in trouble in college for exceeding computer usage limits on a university time-sharing system?
