3. Snape is a good guy... |
|
he was doing exactly what Dumbledore wanted him to, mark my words -- there are several things planted throughout the various books that point towards this.
Voldie at one point talks about his former Death Eaters and lists what had become of them -- he said one had left him forever -- that was Snape.
And we had an interesting introduction to the binding spell in the last book. We have heard repeatedly that Dumbledore trusts Snape, even though no one can say why. I think we saw how -- Dumbledore bound Snape to him with the spell -- Snape breaks it, he is a dead man.
Also, during the confrontation with Draco, Dumbledore talked about how one could be made to disappear so completely, they could never be found. I think that was a pretty obvious hint as to what happened to Dumbledore.
The symbol of the phoenix -- the bird that rises from the ashes -- plays a prominant role in the stories, from Voldie's and Harry's wands, to Voldie's return from the grave, to Dumbledore's companion.
Dumbledore will be back. :)

7. Mebbe, but if Snape was the one Voldemort meant |
|
when he said one Death Eater had left him forever, then Snape is in for a shock, since Snape has been the inside man with Voldemort. That would mean Voldemort knows Snape is a spy, and has been feeding him wrong info, and has something very nasty planned for him.
Interesting. I'm almost sad that the finale is coming up. There's something deflating about having all your questions finally answered.

but I found these quotes from J.K. Rowling:
"I feel terrible. The British writer Graham Green once said that every writer had to have a chip of ice in their heart. Oh no. I think you may just have ruined my career. Umm, I really can't answer that question because the answer is in book seven but, you shouldn't expect Dumbledore to do a Gandalf. Let me just put it that way. I'm sorry."
"But I see that I need to be a little more explicit and say that Dumbledore is definitely dead. And I do know - I do know that there is an entire website out there that says - that's name is DumbledoreIsNotDead.com so umm, I'd imagine they're not pretty happy right now. But I think I need - you need - all of you need to move through the five stages of grief and I'm just helping you get past denial."
So Snape may not be the bad guy - if he was acting under Dumbledore's orders or direct control, but it sounds like Albus really is gone.

After all, Dumbledore's portrait is now hanging in the Headmaster's study, and presumably that's only possible if he is really dead.

16. When Dumbledore was begging Snape... |
|
He was begging him to do it. He was not begging him not to do it. He knew it was the hardest thing he had ever done, but it HAD TO BE DONE. Harry would never be pissed enough to do what he has to do if Dumbledore were around to protect him. Duckie

10. I don't think Dumbledore will be back |

I do think the argument that Snape and Dumbledore were having was about Snape carrying out Dumbledore's wishes. Snape kept saying he couldn't do it, but Dumbledore insisted. Therefore, Snape followed a direct order from Dumbledore to kill him.

plus, that act will allow him to get closer to Voldemort. We'll just have to see though.

11. I think the whole "Snape is evil" meme has been shoved in our faces soo much, it MUST be a set-up. |
|
She's pushed it too hard for too long. It's GOTTA be a setup for a big final plot-twist where we discover we were wrong about him. Consider: if it turns out that we are right about Snape, then we have to admit that Dumbledore was WRONG all along- and very foolishly so. I don't think that's gonna happen.

17. Here's my opinion on it. |
|
I think Snape was doing an assistant suicide with Dumbledore. They were arguing about something and Harry heard about it and I remember that Snape disagreed with doing it. Plus, if Snape wouldn't kill Dumbledore and if Malfoy failed to kill Dumbledore: Snape would die. I think Dumbledore knew his time was up.
I hope that makes some sense, it's been a year or more since I read it last.

I got to the point where Harry was helping Dumbledore out of the cave, and he said, Don't be scared, don't worry. It'll all be ok. And he said, I know. You are here, or something like that, I lost it. It completely ruined my weekend. Duckie
