I just heard on the scanner there's a bar brawl |
|
But the bar is a good ten minutes drive...I think I'll stay here...even though bar brawls are pretty cool...
Should I go?

To tell you the truth it was funny, my friend and I weren't involved but there was about a 16 man brawl that broke out. (The bar was called the Village) it was a crappy bar we just went to for god knows why.
When it was all over my buddy yelled' "Hey who says the village sucks!?"
ANd we got kicked out!

4. I started one once.... |
|
it was a lot of fun...someone was trash talking one of our friends so I cold cocked him..next thing I know the whole bar is in on it! It spilled out into the street, the cops showed up and started putting people into the back seats of the cars as they broke it up. Somehow I managed to slip away into the night, returning to my friends for more drinks.
Ahhhh college.

10. I almost started one now that you mention it |
|
I was totally ripped, and there was a table of guys looking at me and my buds all night, one came over and started talking to my friend. I took of my glasses and started walking towards him ready to smash my glass over his head.
I'm not a nut, it's just that after living in that town for 8 months and always having locals trying to start shit, I'd had enough.
My buddy grabbed me and pulled me back, then I realized the guy knew my friend and they were just yakking.
Woulda been a brawl for sure.

14. When I started mine... |
|
I was quite tanked. I remember I actually thought about it for a nanosecond, looked at the guy, and that was it. It was such a spontanious thing. I realize most are, although I have run into some guys in bars that they spend the whole night looking for a scrap. The next day a lot of frineds were pretty surprised that I had started it. Of course we laugh about it now.

starting bar brawls are not just what we do, it is who we are.
I have seen so many, I can't even remember how many countries I have seen them in.

17. in my hometown one hot summer night... |
|
... some local whackadoos, actually friends but a couple years older, out of boredom pulled this:
Two tough guys, one large, the other small, started a fake verbal beef on the sidewalk outside our one and only hangout. It got hotter (not really) and they exchanged a couple of blows, not doing much damage but the smaller guy pretended to be knocked to the pavement. From his jeans pocket he pulls a starter pistol. He shouts a few obscenities, then fires it a couple of times at the larger guy's abdomen...he then slaps his hand on his belly, and a couple of ketchup packets strategically placed there earlier squirt a thick red substance across his lower abdomen. He slumps to the pavement, moaning. Meanwhile, the smaller guy runs across the street to a waiting car, jumps in the back seat and it screeches away. Another car pulls up and the larger guy's friends lift him, still moaning, into the back seat and take off in the direction of the hospital. the whole thing took between three and four minutes. of course a few people who weren't in on it, and people who drove by at key moments called the cops to report a shooting. a couple of minutes later and the street is filled with cops and an ambulance is on the way....but there is no shooter and no victim to be found, and the few people still around have only the vaguest of things to say about what happened. the plotters meanwhile gathered at a park well out of town to put away a couple cases of beer, yucking it up, secure in the knowledge that they had secured their place in the underground history of our community...
