A St. Patrick's Day vegan dilemma
Edited on Sat Mar-17-07 09:55 PM by mycritters2
I'm workin' hard at being vegan (been vegetarian for 7 years now) and a friend just calls, says she and her partner are watchin' the Quiet Man and sippin' Irish Cream, and would I like to join 'em. Do I

a) decline the invite

b) go but decline the Bailey's (or whatever--no brand was specified)

c) enjoy the stuff and go back to being vegan tomorrow

?

1. live your life
slavish dedication to any ideology is fundamentalism.

free your mind and your ass will follow.

5. be who you are
life is too short to have a stick six feet up the ass.

the milk of human kindness flows ever so sweetly from within our own selves, it is fragrant and redolent of that most sublime of odors: forgiveness.

show up with a sixer of Harp and a bottle of Jamison.

That's what I'd do if I were vegan...it's what I did when I was still fumbling and failing at trying to be vegan.

6. I'm headin' out
Probably gonna have a glass of the stuff on the rocks. What this country needs is a really good Irish Soy Cream. I'll start working on that tomorrow.

Happy Evacuation Day, all!!
