1. I flipped over to it a minute ago.
How long has this been on? The first woman said that North America is in the Eastern Hemisphere. I think I'll go back to the CSI channel.

2. It just came on a couple weeks ago.
It's kind of interesting. It really is proof of how stupid some are or it's proof of how fast we really do forget what we learned in school.

Either way, it's hard for me to find something appropriate for a six year old to watch w/o it being cartoons.

I don't have any of my own but that is a great idea for when my nephew and niece spend the night.

5. And they can learn something from this,
compared to most shows.

Kids love seeing that adults aren't very bright.

4. They should have a show Are you Smarter than the President?
Of course that would be really depressing.

7. I caught it last week.
Pretty lousy show.

They must have asked four or five questions over the course of half an hour.

I think the contestants are actors.

8. I'm not sure.
I work with people just like them. It takes them twenty minutes to ask how to spell a word, make you repeat the spelling ten or twelve times and then spell it back to you.

Besides, like I said upthread, it's hard to find a show that's appropriate for a six year old to watch on primetime tv.

9. Oh, I know people are that dumb.
But how many people that dumb can carry a question that well between commercial breaks?

11. Some of my coworkers could.
You could ask them the question, give them a week to research it and they still wouldn't get it right.

10. I would find it depressing.
It's a window through which children can see their future. Sure, you might be smarter the adults NOW, but one day you will be one of them.
Bwahahaha!

12. Right now the six year old loves it.
She's already answered the question about the months of the year and she's laughing. I think a big part of the contestant's problem is that she's nervous-but my daughter is still laughing at her.
