1. Need to see that again soon...was waiting until season 2 dvds were out
An interesting critical history, iirc. Pretty widely panned upon release in early 90s, but then made lots of critics end-of-decade top 10 lists as well.

Enjoy your stay in Lynchville.

:hi:

3. That coffee is naked without cherry pie.
The show gripped me from start to finish, even though I thought the season-two plot manipulation seemed obvious. Still, what a great example of creative storytelling and perfect use of the weekly serial format on network TV.

food and twin peaks. When the movie came out we were the first ones in line for tickets, same thing with the xfiles movie.

5. If I missed an episode, I was crushed.
Now, of course, with DVRs, we just looked silly in comparison.

Those stilted, backward early '90s. Catch a teevee program live, as it was being shown? Ha!

8. These days, I don't see hardly a thing when it airs.
The few shows I watch get stored up, and I get to watch them on the weekend.

It actually makes me think I should cancel my cable altogether and just rent my shows at the end of the season on DVD.

10. Heroes is on my list too.
Their spring hiatus is killing me, I've discovered. Nothing like a long break to teach you what you really like to watch.

I missed the Andy Barker show. How does it compare to Andy Richter Controls the Universe? I enjoyed that short run quite a bit.

11. Andy Barker is really different from Controls the universe but it still is Andy
it's very quick, lots of snappy lines and a good cast, all in all it's a really enjoyable show, he's a combo CPA and PI.

6. Memorable lines
Cooper: Lately I've been filled with the knowledge that the killer will strike again.
Albert: All right, let's test it for the record. Will the next victim be a man or a woman?
Cooper: A woman.
Albert: What color hair will she have?
Cooper: Blonde.
Albert: Tell me some other things about her.
Cooper: She's young, she's in high school, she's sexually active, she's taking drugs, she's crying out for help.
Albert: Well damn Cooper, that really narrows it down, you're talking about half the high school girls in America!

27. Most of Lynch's work has that quality.
He's considered by many to be a surrealist filmmaker, in fact.

I'm old enough to have watched plenty of electronic formats become obsolete... :argh:

But, I'll probably buy the DVD set anyway. Thanks for the idea, my kids will love it!

29. any of y'all get the new Chiller Channel?
(was this mentioned here already?)
They're playing the Twin Peaks tv show so I'm just starting to watch it. I missed it the first time, it was when I was moving to college I think, but some of my friends loved it.

So I'm only two episodes in now!
