I've never heard of that but that was pretty funny... poor pig, had to see THAT! must be frightened out of his mind. If he didn't have a drinking problem before now, he will.

7. Are you referring to the 70's Pearls Before Swine? |
|
I once had one of their albums. I don't remember the name, but I know I'd recognize it if I saw it. Do you have any idea if any of their music is available now?

9. I love the whole thing. |
|
Every aspect of human nature is represented in that strip -- thick-headed but large-hearted Pig; cynical, calculating Rat; idealistic Zebra, etc.
And there's always some pop culture visual reference in the Sunday strips, such as the gang posing like U2 on the cover of The Joshua Tree or something.

"Why do you want to eat me...can't we all just get along...blahblah blah."
Zebra receives reply "Becuz U tayst Gud"
 Loved that.

11. Yes I do...I have one laminated on my fridge, the one where Rat is dressed |
|
like Dylan, singing "Hooow many tiiiimes must a dooollar be taxed, befoooore I can caaaall it my ooowwwn, Yes'n hoooow many buuucks must that Uncle Sam take, befooore I looose my summer hoooome..."
And then he says, "I call it, 'My Capital Gains are Blowin' Away in the Wind' " and Pig is crying "It's just so sad!!"
Cracks me up.

17. It's a great comic. I just picked up a couple of the treasuries |
|
They've got commentary by the creator under a lot of the strips.
