Matrix Redux--Give it a shot. |
|
With some argument from some quarters, a lot of people, me included, thoroughly hated the second and third Matrix movies, in part because, in our collective opinion, they strayed so far from what made the first movie so beloved. I realize some of you are gonna try yet again to sway my ilk into liking the last two, but I need you, for the purposes of this thread, to give it up. So, to those of you that find yourself in the same category as me (Loooooove the original, hated Reloaded and Revolutions, set pieces and CGI aside), here we go:
Okay, let's suppose that the Wachowskis had it all to do over again. How should the plot of Reloaded, and by extension, Revolutions, have gone? Is there anything from those films you'd have kept? Did you really wanna see Zion? Etc, etc...

I thought they went overboard with the kung foo in Reloaded, but otherwise liked it. Haven't seen Revolutions yet.

2. i would have kept reloaded the same... |

i would have made revolutions based on these doo-hickeys...
1) Zion is just another matrix, another system of control. 2) Only Neo knows this. 3) He realizes that without the machines, the billions of people plugged into the matrix would be unable to survive in the "real" world if released via a mass exodus. 4) So, to save the billions still plugged in, he'd keep zion blissfully unaware of the "real" world being another matrix. 5) oh, and nobody rejects the zion matrix because they're confronted with choices daily ie: <dramatic voice> the machine menace
yeah, i'm a big nerd...
