"That's My Bush!" TV Show
Any fellow DU'ers ever see this show? By the same people who do Southpark.

I thought it was briliant, but they only made like 6 episodes before the powers that be smashed 'em...

1. I loved it!
It was absolutely hysterical. I taped most of the episodes.

2. It was a nice concept, but that show sucked.
All that ridicules * is not necessarily funny.

Made the 3 Stooges look like Jon Stewart and Al Franken. x(

5. You might have missed the point of the show...
It wasn't specifically making fun of Bush. It was more of a parody of the classic sitcome (with all the wacky misunderstandings, etc.). But just like Southpark, it was highly radical underneath. You should give it another viewing (but you have to be a real TV kinda person to appreciate the sitcom mockery).

BTW, they were also planning to do a "Gore" version if Gore had won.

6. Oh I saw the mockery, I just don't need it administered by sledgehammer
I *like* South Park, BTW.

3. You must have read my post on the casting thread
It was funny in parts.

Better concept than execution. But still humorous.

4. Too bad they pulled it...
but it was unfortunate enough to begin to air right before 9/11. After that, there was NO way they were putting that back on the air - have to unite the country under their fearless leader, you know. The show was great, spoofing "classic" sitcoms with the canned laughter and all. Even though that show is gone, Trey Parker and Matt Stone have done a good job integrating the political and social commentary into South Park, which just happens to be one of the best shows on TV.

10. I thought that it was a GREAT show..
9-11 killed it, such is life.

Like most shows, parts of it were hysterical, and parts of it were dull...that's the way it is. I found it to be a great show, and have all the episodes taped. When I need a chuckle, I go to what I thought was the best episode; the one with the euthanasia of the cat. Just thinking about it makes me laugh. :D

11. 9-11 and Comedy Central's budget killed it.
It cost about $1 million per episode to make. I thought it was hilarious in a campy sort of way. Many, many good lines. Even a wacky neighbor!

A while back, I heard that Parker and Stone were working on a movie version, to come out sometime before this year's election. Anyone hear any more about that? Combine that with Moore's Fahrenheit: 911, and you have one interesting summer.
