question for SF DUers (who drive) |
|
I'm going to be on that end of the state in a few weeks, and will be going from the north bay to Burlingame for a conference. If I take 101 (which is the obvious route), will it put me on any of the humongo, steep hills where it cuts through the city? I drive a standard, and HATE driving in SF with a stick. I mean really, really hate it.
I will literally consider a different route or consider renting a car if I'll have to deal with those crazy steep streets just to get 101 through the city.

I had a stick the last year I lived in SF. I hated it.

2. LOL. Well, I only have to get THROUGH the city via 101, so.... |
|
....if I'll bypass the hills by doing that, I'm OK. Dat's what I need to find out.

I'm guessing you'll be coming in via the GGB, then moving east through town to get to 101 in order to go south to Burlingame? You won't encounter any hills a stick driver would have to worry about.

And thanks. I still get knots in my stomach thinking about some of the hills around there. NOT fun with a stick (and even less fun when you get some ass hat who decides to pull all the way up to your bumper when you're on a big incline--dumb, dumb, dumb).
