Dreams
A friend from another message board lost a friend in Iraq last week. The guy from the message board does not share many of our views about politics, but his hurt is just the same. The person that got killed had dreams as well did his family and friends. Now they are all gone. People don't often see the personal side to this war. A lot more people want out now than when the war first began, but if they could have seen what it does to people sooner we might have never have gone.

We all have dreams. I want to have nice place to live one day. I want to buy my own home. I want to see a day when I don't have to work so damn hard. I'm getting kind of long in the tooth to start a family (I'm 34), but it would be nice to have a companion at some point in my life. I dream of a day when the treatment that I receive for mental illness doesn't cost me a small fortune. I hope that one day I won't have to hide the fact that I am mentally ill from so many people. I hope I live to see the day when our guns and bombs and tanks become useless artifacts.

Those are some of my dreams. What are your's?

1. Ah, my dear Droopy...
I have some dreams too...

I'd like to see some of my poetry in print, and not the vanity press either...

There are some places I want to see.....

There are some people I want to get to know better......like you, for instance...

So many dreams...

And my life is more than half over...

2. first off
 to all those who loved the one who was lost.

i dream of a day that families don't have to go through that pain.

i, like you, dream of a day that my treatment does not cost a small fortune and of a day that i do not have to hide my own mental illness.

at this point in my life, as young as i am, i just dream of being comfortable in my body and with my life

3. Droopy, I'm so sorry for the loss of yet another life in this gawdawful war.
My condolences to your friend.

I dream of getting my floral business up and running.

I dream of finally getting out of debt.

I dream of traveling to places I have long wanted to visit.

I dream of being a grandmother, should my daughter and son-in-law decide to start a family.

And I dream of being in a better place than I am now.

4. I dream of finding a guy who loves me and wants to spend time with me.
And I dream of having children and becoming a succesful songwriter.

I often daydream of my mom and grandmother playing with my kids. I want that so much.
